Job Title: Tax Administrator
Location: Rochester NY 14423
Salary: $50000 $55000 (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns including corporate sales and property taxes.
- Manage taxrelated documentation including maintaining accurate and organized records of tax filings payments and correspondence.
- Coordinate with external tax consultants and auditors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal tax regulations by staying current on tax laws and changes.
- Assist in preparing reports and analysis for senior management regarding tax liabilities and compliance status.
- Respond to taxrelated inquiries from internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Process tax payments and refunds ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
- Support the tax department with administrative tasks including scheduling meetings managing deadlines and handling correspondence.
MustHaves:
- Education: Degree or Certificate in Accounting Finance or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role preferably within a tax or accounting department.
- Onsite Requirement: Fulltime onsite presence in Rochester NY is required.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of tax processes and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of tax preparation software is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a corporate tax or accounting environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
