Overview

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain conceptual logical and physical data models based on business requirements
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and data engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models
• Optimize and standardize data models for improved performance scalability and maintainability
• Perform data analysis to identify trends patterns and insights to enhance data modeling processes
• Ensure data models comply with data governance and security standards
• Work closely with database administrators to implement data model changes and optimizations
• Document data models metadata and data lineage for easy accessibility and understanding
• Participate in data architecture discussions and contribute to data strategy and roadmap development
• Collaborate with ETL developers to ensure seamless integration of data models into ETL processes
• Provide expertise and guidance on data modeling best practices and standards to the organization
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of database queries and data retrieval processes
• Support data migration data transformation and data integration initiatives
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in data modeling and database management
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data modeling tools processes and methodologies

Required qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field
• Proven experience as a Data Modeler or in a similar role within a datadriven organization
• Proficiency in data modeling tools such as ER/Studio ERwin or similar tools
• Strong SQL skills for querying analyzing and manipulating data
• Experience in designing and optimizing relational and dimensional databases
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools for data integration
• Familiarity with data governance data quality and data security principles
• Ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and communicate complex data concepts to nontechnical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau Power BI or similar tools
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in data modeling and database design
• Excellent documentation and presentation skills to convey complex data models and concepts
• Relevant certifications in data modeling database management or related fields are a plus
