Job Description
Overview:
The BackEnd Magento/PHP Developer plays a crucial role in the organization responsible for developing implementing and maintaining backend features and functionality for Magentobased ecommerce platforms. This position is integral to ensuring a seamless efficient and secure online shopping experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with frontend developers designers and system administrators to develop and integrate custom Magento modules and extensions.
- Optimize and maintain the performance of existing modules and extensions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis design coding testing and deployment.
- Develop custom APIs for seamless integration with thirdparty systems and services.
- Perform SQL queries and database optimization to ensure data integrity and highperformance data retrieval.
- Implement security best practices to safeguard sensitive customer data.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to optimize code quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to troubleshoot and resolve backend issues and support ongoing ecommerce operations.
- Stay updated on Magento and PHP best practices tools and industry trends to continuously enhance system performance and efficiency.
- Document code and technical specifications for future reference and maintainability.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining backend features for Magentobased ecommerce platforms.
- Proficiency in PHP development with a strong understanding of objectoriented programming.
- Experience with MySQL or other relational databases including database design optimization and query building.
- Indepth knowledge of Magento architecture components and customization techniques.
- Experience in integrating and customizing APIs for seamless thirdparty system interactions.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git for collaborative development.
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices in ecommerce environments.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced collaborative team environment and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Certification in Magento development is a plus.
