Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior NetApp Storage Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in storage administration particularly with EMC (VMAX) and NetApp (7mode & Cluster Mode). The role involves working closely with delivery projects various architects and other technical teams to ensure the smooth operation of our storage infrastructure.
Storage with 7 years of experience.
Administrator will work closely with delivery projects with various architects assigned to the project.
The storage team also works closely with the other technical teams within IS Delivery e.g. the Unix & Websphere Application Server teams.
In the support capacity the administrator will liaise with other support teams to ensure rapid resolution of production system problems and appropriate communication of progress.
Primary Skill: EMC (VMAX)
Possess 5 years of experience in EMC (VMAX) storage administration support and/or troubleshooting. Experience with provisioning reclamation replications (SRDF) clone DR activity and to provide support during high priority P1 and P2 issues.
To perform monitoring and automate process or repeated tasks by scripting/tools/programming.
Must be aware of storage best practices and to work towards optimization of storage infrastructure by providing value add/ideas on timely manner.
To engage EMC support for all hardware issues and for any issues requires vendor intervention in order to fix it permanently.
Experience with Cisco switches: zoning backup ISL and troubleshooting any related issues.
Secondary Skill: NetApp (7mode & Cluster Mode)
Hands on experience on NetApp 7mode and Cluster Mode and ability to provide support for daily operation tasks which includes storage provisioning expansion & reclamation.
Proficient to work on NetApp FAS (SAN & NAS).
To coordinate with vendor for any hardware issues reported and followup till closure.
Other Skills:
Understanding of Operating systems Virtualization Backups and Networking.
Experience in ITIL best practices for Incident management change management problem management & configuration management and knowledge of ticketing toolSNOW/BMC Remedy.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Must possess the initiative to proactively work on issues reported and resolve them before it becomes critical.
Good Communicational Skill and 24*7 work environment.
Working in 24x7 shift is must.
