Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with extensive experience in Java Selenium Rest Assured REST API and Automation API This role focuses on building and enhancing test automation frameworks to ensure the delivery of highquality software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java Selenium Rest Assured and REST API.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for both UI and API testing ensuring thorough test coverage and reliability.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to define and implement testing strategies integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Perform API testing using Rest Assured to validate RESTful web services ensuring they meet functional and performance criteria.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the automation framework enhancing test accuracy and efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools technologies and practices to improve the automation process.
- Provide detailed documentation and reporting on test activities results and any defects found.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality of the test code.
Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience in test automation with a focus on software development.
- Proficiency in Java programming language and automation tools like Selenium.
- Expertise in Rest Assured for API automation testing.
- Strong understanding of REST API architecture and testing methodologies.
- Experience in developing and maintaining Automation API frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Excellent problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with performance and security testing tools.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure) and containerization (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
