Overview:
The role of an Ophthalmologist with a focus on surgical retina is crucial to providing specialized medical care for patients with retinal disorders in Rohtak. The Ophthalmologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating eye conditions performing surgical procedures and providing postoperative care with a focus on the retina. They will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for their patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat retinal disorders such as retinal detachment diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration
- Perform surgical procedures including vitrectomy scleral buckling laser therapy and intravitreal injections
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and imaging studies to determine the extent of retinal damage
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care and counselling to patients
- Manage and oversee the ophthalmic team and provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff
- Participate in clinical research contribute to academic publications and stay updated on latest advancements in retinal surgery
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure integrated patient care
- Comply with all relevant legal and ethical standards in healthcare
Required Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Residency in Ophthalmology from a recognized program
- Fellowship in surgical retina or equivalent specialized training
- Board certification in Ophthalmology and/or Surgical Retina
- Valid state medical license to practice in Rohtak
- Proven experience in diagnosing and managing complex retinal cases
- Demonstrated surgical skills in vitreoretinal procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
