Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead WebAPI Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web and API automation with expertise in Python pytest Selenium and Rest Assured. As a lead you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining automated test scripts as well as leading a team of automation engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
- Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand business requirements and develop automated testing strategies.
- Ensure highquality code by performing code reviews and adhering to best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated test scripts.
- Continuously improve the automation framework to increase efficiency and coverage.
- Stay uptodate with the latest industry trends and technologies in automation testing.
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:
- Python: Advanced proficiency in Python programming.
- pytest: Extensive experience with pytest for writing and executing test cases.
- Selenium: Expertise in using Selenium for web automation testing.
- Rest Assured: Strong experience in using Rest Assured for API automation testing.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in web and API automation testing.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitLab CI or CircleCI.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS Azure or GCP.
- Experience with other automation tools and frameworks.
