Job Description
- Program set up and run Kunzmann CNC machines with Heidenhain Control.
- Setup and run CNC Vertical Machining Center DMG 103V.
- Retrieve CNC programs and load them to the machine.
- Edit in Gcode and manually program using Heidenhain Control.
- Setup fixturing and come up with your setups on the machine.
- Perform firstpiece and inprocess quality inspections.
- Set up cutters in holders and adjust height and length.
- Read drawings/prints to identify operations specifications and tolerances.
- Meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements.
- Use various hand tools to finish parts and check.
- Use measuring devices like micrometers and calipers to ensure specifications are met.
- Perform operator maintenance tasks like oiling greasing and cleaning the machine (5S).
- Use a forklift or crane to store and retrieve fixturing and other essential equipment.
- Operate other machines in the department as needed.
- High school diploma required. Advanced education or apprenticeship preferred.
- 35 years of CNC experience preferred.
- Strong skills in editing GCode and manual programming preferred.
- Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls are also essential.
- Willingness to move between work centers.
- Ability to lift heavy weights bend stoop and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in various conditions such as extreme heat and noise levels.
