Job Description
Position Title: IT Manager
Location: Ahmedabad
Department: Information Technology
Job Summary:
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the companys information technology projects and infrastructure. This includes ensuring the stability security and efficiency of IT systems and managing a team of IT professionals. The role involves strategic
planning project management and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the installation configuration and maintenance of IT systems servers and networks.
- Conduct regular system audits and ensure system and network security.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor the IT team providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Assign tasks and projects to team members and monitor progress.
- Project Management:
- Plan execute and oversee IT projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals.
- Evaluate and recommend technological solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support and resolve ITrelated issues for staff and clients.
- Implement and manage disaster recovery plans.
- Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for ITrelated purchases and services.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and manage vendor contracts.
- Policy Development:
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance with industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field. A masters degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a related role.
- Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and services.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of IT systems networks and security.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in project management and IT budgeting.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications:
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g. ITIL PMP CISSP) are preferred.
