Overview
As a Power Electronics Engineer you will play a crucial role in the design development and testing of power electronics systems. Your work will directly impact the performance and efficiency of a wide range of electronic devices and systems making your role vital to the success of our organization. Key responsibilities
- Design and develop power electronic circuits and systems for various applications such as motor drives renewable energy systems and power supplies
- Conduct simulations and analysis to optimize the performance and efficiency of power electronic systems
- Participate in the selection and validation of electronic components and materials for power electronics applications
- Create and review technical documentation including specifications design documents and test plans
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate power electronics systems into larger product designs
- Troubleshoot and debug power electronics systems to identify and resolve performance issues
- Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the quality and reliability of power electronics designs
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in power electronics technology and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Support product testing and validation activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
Required qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Power Electronics or a related field; Masters degree preferred
- Proven experience in the design and development of power electronic circuits systems and components
- Strong proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink LTSpice or PLECS for power electronics analysis
- Indepth knowledge of analog circuit design semiconductor devices and power semiconductor devices
- Experience in control systems design and implementation for power electronics applications
- Proficiency in embedded systems development and programming for power electronics control and monitoring
- Familiarity with thermal management and packaging considerations for power electronic systems
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical challenges
- Solid understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) principles
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet established deadlines
- Experience with industry standards and regulations such as IEC UL and IEEE for power electronics design and testing
- Demonstrated track record of innovation and a passion for driving technological advancements in power electronics
