Overview
The Staff Nurse plays a critical role in the healthcare organization providing direct patient care and promoting a safe and therapeutic environment. They are essential for delivering highquality healthcare services and ensuring positive patient outcomes. A Staff Nurse in Surat Gujarat is responsible for meeting the healthcare needs of the local community and supporting the overall healthcare system in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing patient health problems and needs
- Developing and implementing nursing care plans
- Providing pre and postoperative care
- Monitoring and administering medication and intravenous infusions
- Supervising junior staff
- Educating patients and their families about their medical conditions
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to plan and coordinate patient care
- Participating in departmental and organizational committees
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in nursing or equivalent
- Valid nursing license
- Proven experience as a Staff Nurse
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and their families
- Excellent critical thinking and problemsolving skills
- Knowledge of medical equipment and procedures
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and highpressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Understanding of healthcare laws and regulations
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Basic life support (BLS) and/or advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Knowledge of infection control protocols
