Overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting processes including audits reviews and compilations.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulations.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance to minimize liabilities and maximize returns.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and operational decisionmaking.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risk.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes to support organizational goals and objectives.
• Provide guidance on complex accounting matters and transactions.
• Utilize data analysis tools to extract meaningful insights from financial data.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address financial queries and issues.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of accounting policies and procedures.
• Support the preparation and filing of regulatory reports and disclosures.
• Participate in financial systems implementation and enhancement projects.
• Train and mentor junior staff members to ensure a high level of professional competence.

Required qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is required.
• Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role with a strong understanding of financial and regulatory principles.
• Expertise in financial reporting auditing and tax compliance.
• Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in using financial software and advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping and reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills to address complex financial issues.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and external stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines and organizational goals.
• Sound judgment and decisionmaking skills in different financial scenarios.
• Commitment to upholding ethical standards and integrity in financial practices.
• Experience in leading or supporting financial system implementations and enhancements is a plus.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to guide and develop junior team members.
