Job Description

Summary: Were hiring for an earlystage funded aerospace/defence startup in Bangalore led by 3 cofounders. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned sales leader with extensive experience in the Aerospace &
Defence Industry to drive strategic business development initiatives. (S)He should have 15 years experience in related domain with a deep understanding of strategic electronics products and strong networks within the industry.

Compensation: 3545 LPA ESOPs
Location: Delhi (onsite)

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electronics/Electronics & Communication or Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  2. ExServiceman (Veteran) from Indian Air Force
  3. Worked on medium to large size opportunities/tenders in Defence Electronics domain or System Integration projects in Aerospace & Defence
  4. Experience in handling profit and loss (P/L) responsibilities and driving organizational success
  5. Extensive knowledge about key decision makers within the industry with a strong focus on relationshipbuilding
  6. Well versed with DAP 2020 Defence Procurement Policies
  7. Proven track record of bringing in new customers from the Indian market and driving revenue growth
  8. Extensive experience of working with MoD DRDO labs DPSUs Armed Forces & International OEMs
  9. Demonstrated ability to identify market gaps and develop strategic initiatives to address them
  10. Excellent communication negotiation and leadership skills
  11. Willingness to travel as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prospect and acquire new opportunities within the Defence and Aerospace industry leveraging existing networks and relationships
  2. Liaison with MoD & Services HQ to for suitable opportunities and suomoto proposals
  3. Formulate and execute sales strategies focusing on LRUs Radar systems Avionics Embedded systems
  4. Interact with Defence and Aerospace customers on a regular basis for developmental projects and address the customers needs and desires for solutions during design and engineering stages
  5. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align sales efforts with product development and marketing initiatives
  6. Build company profile and brand image in the market through customer visits presentations exhibitions trade shows business meets. Participate in defence & aerospace seminars and exhibitions
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including customers suppliers and industry influencers
  8. Interact with design/technical team on the new technologies/requirement of the customer for technology/process up gradation
  9. Gather intelligence on competitor activities
  10. Recommend policy initiatives new product/partnership arrangements & innovative approaches keeping in mind the market opportunities practices & competition to strengthen company leadership position
