Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Security Consultant with expertise in Microsoft Defender Microsoft 365 and Azure security technologies. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing implementing and managing security solutions that protect our clients digital environments from cyber threats. This role requires deep technical knowledge a proactive approach to problemsolving and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Architecture & Design:

    • Design and implement security solutions using Microsoft Defender Microsoft 365 Security and Azure Security Center.
    • Develop comprehensive security architectures that align with industry best practices and client requirements.
    • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address identified vulnerabilities.
  • Implementation & Deployment:

    • Deploy and configure Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Office 365 Identity and Cloud Apps to protect client environments.
    • Implement Azure security controls including Azure AD Security Center Sentinel and Key Vault.
    • Integrate Microsoft security technologies with existing client infrastructures and thirdparty tools.
  • Monitoring & Incident Response:

    • Set up and manage continuous monitoring systems to detect and respond to security incidents.
    • Lead or support incident response efforts including threat detection containment eradication and recovery.
    • Analyze security alerts from Microsoft Defender and other tools providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Compliance & Governance:

    • Ensure client environments comply with relevant security standards and regulations such as GDPR HIPAA or ISO 27001.
    • Develop and maintain security policies procedures and documentation.
    • Conduct regular audits and security assessments to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Work closely with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
    • Deliver training and workshops on Microsoft security technologies to client teams.
    • Collaborate with internal teams including IT network and software development to align security initiatives with business objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay current with the latest security trends threats and technologies.
    • Provide thought leadership on improving security practices and strategies.
    • Contribute to the development of best practices frameworks and methodologies for Microsoft security implementations.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or a related field.
    • At least 5 years of experience in IT security with a focus on Microsoft security technologies.
    • Proven experience in deploying and managing Microsoft Defender Microsoft 365 Security and Azure security solutions.
  • Certifications (Preferred):

    • Microsoft Certified: Security Compliance and Identity Fundamentals
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
    • Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Security Administrator Associate
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Deep understanding of Microsoft Defender suite including Defender for Endpoint Identity Cloud Apps and Office 365.
    • Proficiency in Azure security services including Azure AD Security Center Sentinel and Key Vault.
    • Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST CIS and ISO 27001.
    • Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex security concepts for nontechnical stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
