Job Description

The role:

Calling all commercially aware customer service agents in the Basingstoke area! Do you want to work within a small but experienced team where you will have the opportunity to take ownership of key customer relationships alongside being supported by hugely experienced team members. We provide extensive onboarding support so for us here at VPG your personality is just as important as your experience. This fulltime role is based at our Basingstoke site in the UK 4 days each week plus 1 day from working from home.

VPG has a long history of innovation specifically in precision foil resistors and foil strain gauges. This served as a foundation to expand into strain gauge instrumentation load cells transducers weighing modules and complete systems for process control and onboard vehicle weighing.

VPG has facilities and operations in 13 countries with more than 30 sites and over 2700 colleagues across the globe we recognise it is our talented people that are key in ensuring we successfully achieve our business aims.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage sales quotations in response to customer requests and external Sales Managers needs.
  • Oversee quotations from inception to conclusion ensuring timely followups and resolution.
  • Manage orders including entry acknowledgment dispatch planning and invoicing guided by Planning and Purchasing reports.
  • Provide swift comprehensive responses to customer inquiries regarding stock delivery and complaints striving to exceed expectations and strengthen relationships.
  • Coordinate product returns and arrange credits per RMA guidelines.
  • Raise purchase requisitions and convert them into orders managing communication with suppliers and updating due dates as necessary.
  • Maintain and update sales orders customer databases and related documentation.
  • Oversee procurement activities for repairs Bonding and hazardous items including raising necessary requisitions and orders.
  • Engage proactively with existing and potential customers to support external sales efforts.

Requirements :

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working with a ERP and CRM system
  • Team player who is enthusiastic and has good communication skills.
  • Proactive and selfmotivated.
  • Unafraid to take on new challenges and develop within a demanding environment.
