We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst with a strong background in inventory management and accounting to join the international team of our biotechnology partner company. This company is part of a Global Top 3 life science group in the diagnostics field. As a key member of the global Inventory team you will focus on preparing and analyzing global inventory accounting entries with a primary focus on Excess & Obsolete (E&O) reserves.
Responsibilities -
- E&O Reserve Analysis: Prepare and analyze E&O reserve balances for global Oracle legal entities including manufacturing sites and distribution centers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Plant Controllers and Business Finance leaders to ensure accurate and timely E&O reserves.
- General Ledger Entries: Prepare and post quarterly general ledger entries related to E&O.
- Process Improvement: Assist in implementing process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency.
- Standardization: Support the implementation of global standardized procedures to ensure E&O accuracy and align E&O movements with underlying business or site performance.
- Reconciliations: Prepare reconciliations for inventory accounts.
- Compliance: Participate in global SarbanesOxley testing of inventory processes
Requirements -
- Education: Degree in Economics preferably with a focus on finance and accounting.
- Experience: Proven experience in inventory accounting particularly in a global business setting with an understanding of global processes and transactional flows.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP.
- Preferred Skills: Experience with BI tools is a plus.
