Position Summary:
At Journals & Ledgers we partner with small business owners so they can understand their finances and make informed decisions. Our outstanding team of QuickBooks ProAdvisors works collaboratively with our clients in the role of trusted advisor so they can focus on growing a successful business.
We are seeking to add an accountant/bookkeeper to our client services team. The ideal candidate will be available to work 2530 hours per week with a hybrid remote schedule (two days a week in office).

Skills and Qualifications to be Successful:
Minimum of Associates Degree in Accounting or Business preferred
2 years of full charge bookkeeping or accounting experience using QuickBooks Online required; QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification is preferred
2 years of payroll experience required; ADP experience preferred
Experience working in a multiclient environment is a plus
Proficiency using Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
Must be able to pass background verification
Position Responsibilities
Full cycle bookkeeping duties for multiple clients which include:
Accounts Receivable (entering invoices receiving payments and creating deposits)
Accounts Payable (W9’s 1099’s vendor setup/maintenance entering bills processing vendor requests/credits and paying bills)
Categorizing transactions in the general ledger
Reconciling accounts
Preparing and posting adjusting journal entries
Processing payroll and recording entries
Performing monthend closings
Budgeting/Cashflow Management
Project Costing
Specialty Reporting
Calculating and submitting sales tax returns
Monitoring and sorting client inboxes and portals daily
Researching and responding to client inquiries
Prepare financials and facilitate financial review meetings with clients
Coordination with clients’ CPA
Job Type: Fulltime hourly
Expected Hours: 2530 hours per week to start with room to grow to 35 hours per week
Pay: $28.00$32.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday hybrid remote with two days in office in Senoia GA. Ability to work from home with set hours (negotiable schedule) of availability in which the employer or client can be guaranteed to reach you.
