Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to critically review credit proposals to identify and evaluate risks related to industry business financials management and facility structure. This role focuses on highlighting collateral and other risk mitigation strategies to aid the approving authority in decisionmaking. The role is crucial for ensuring quick turnaround on credit lending proposals for the SME/SEG business including Term Loans Working Capital Finance Lease Rent Discounting and Construction Finance. Additionally the role involves ongoing credit exposure review to ensure continued bankability effective client and collateral monitoring and adherence to legal and documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Analysis: Assess and conduct detailed credit analysis of lending proposals. Scrutinize proposals by analyzing client creditworthiness business strength market credibility financial statements and adherence to internal credit norms.
Proposal Preparation: Prepare Credit Appraisal Memos interact with legal and technical agencies to mitigate property risks and ensure the submission of welldocumented proposals to the Regional Credit Manager.
Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor portfolio performance track overdue accounts review ratings changes and ensure compliance with sanction conditions. Maintain strong local industry networks for independent references.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with credit policies contribute to the revision of credit norms and support the development of new credit policies.
Documentation: Maintain a robust documentation process for effective tracking and TAT monitoring.
MIS Reporting: Prepare MIS and trend charts on portfolio progress and send regular updates to team leaders and stakeholders.
Process Management: Ensure adherence to SOPs manage the distributor network improve the credit approval process and provide training to the local credit process team.
Vendor Management: Recommend and manage vendors ensure timely delivery from valuation legal and field investigation agencies and provide regular training and performance reviews.

Proposal Assessment: Conduct thorough credit evaluations and prepare detailed credit appraisals.
Portfolio Quality: Monitor existing portfolios and ensure proactive management of stressed accounts.
Compliance: Ensure all proposals comply with credit policies and maintain rigorous documentation standards.
Process Efficiency: Improve credit approval processes and manage endtoend credit operations effectively.
Vendor Management: Manage and monitor vendor performance to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
Job Context & Challenges
The role requires the ability to navigate the complex credit environment for SME lending which involves high competition and a diverse range of financial products. The key challenge is to maintain a balance between quick turnaround times and thorough risk evaluation to ensure sustainable growth while minimizing nonperforming assets (NPAs).
