Powder Coating Painter

Pay:$1820/HR.

Hours:Monday Thursday 6AM4:30PM (Some Fridays Depending on workload)

Job type:Temp to Hire

Location:Tulsa Oklahoma

Job Description:

The Powder Coater Painter is responsible for applying durable and protective finishes to various surfaces using specialized powder coating techniques ensuring highquality results in manufacturing and other industries.

What youll be doing:

  • Clean and prepare surfaces by removing contaminants rust or old coatings using materials like abrasives solvents or chemicals.
  • Select the appropriate powder type and color and operate equipment to apply the powder evenly on surfaces.
  • Use an electrostatic charge to ensure the powder sticks evenly to the surfaces.
  • Place coated objects in an oven or curing chamber to melt and solidify the powder creating a durable finish.
  • Check the finished coatings for any defects and make necessary corrections.
  • Keep the equipment clean and in good working order to prevent issues.
  • Keep records of the materials used job orders and inspections.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines wear protective gear and handle hazardous materials carefully.
  • Fix any equipment issues or defects in the coating process to keep everything running smoothly.

MustHave Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in powder coating or a related field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of different types of powder coatings and their applications.
  • Familiarity with powder coating equipment and tools.
  • Ability to interpret job specifications and instructions.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong problemsolving skills for identifying and addressing coating defects.
  • Physical fitness for standing and lifting heavy objects.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of and commitment to safety protocols.
