Job Description

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Public Relations & Media to shape and drive its brand narrative through innovative campaigns impactful media relations and comprehensive communication strategies. This role is pivotal in crafting a compelling narrative that resonates with diverse audiences fosters trust and builds lasting loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive public relations and media strategies encompassing both paid and earned media in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets journalists and influencers proactively pitching stories to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
  • Lead the development of crisis communication plans to ensure timely and effective responses that mitigate reputational risks.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling content including press releases articles blog posts and social media posts ensuring that key messages and values are effectively communicated.
  • Champion the brand internally and externally ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with the organization s mission and vision.
  • Lead and mentor a team of communications professionals providing guidance and support to foster growth and excellence.
  • Engage with key stakeholders including employees customers and industry partners to build relationships and drive brand advocacy.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of PR and media initiatives regularly analyzing data to optimize strategies.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with marketing sales legal and other departments to ensure consistency in messaging and communication efforts.
  • Stay informed about industry trends best practices and emerging technologies in public relations and media to continuously innovate and improve communication strategies.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in communications public relations marketing or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in public relations media relations or corporate communications with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong experience leading and motivating highperformance teams.
  • Demonstrated success in working with media outlets and securing media coverage.
  • Proficiency in crafting messages for various audiences and channels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with media monitoring and analytics tools.
