Job Description

Job Title: Orthopedic Trauma Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

Location: Lubbock TX

Salary: $130k155k SignOn Bonus

Position Overview:

  • Role: The candidate will provide orthopedic trauma care performing procedures like small sutures splinting fractures and joint reductions (hip shoulder knee ankle).
  • Environment: The role involves both clinical and surgical settings collaborating closely with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive orthopedic trauma care.
  • Perform specific procedures (small sutures splinting joint reductions).
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct patient assessments order diagnostic tests and interpret results.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and postoperative care.
  • Participate in the oncall rotation for orthopedic trauma service.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Must have a current and valid NP or PA license in Texas.
  • Certification: ONPC or PAC certification preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in orthopedic trauma care including specific procedures is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong clinical skills effective communication ability to work in a fastpaced environment and a willingness to learn.
