Our Mission
At Terra One we accelerate the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure by developing and implementing innovative solutions. Our initial focus is on battery storage a crucial component for establishing a flexible and environmentally friendly power grid. By providing energy when it is most needed we help improve the reliability and efficiency of the power grid while simultaneously reducing CO2 emissions. Equally important to our mission is our AIbased energy trading in the European market which works hand in hand with our battery storage solutions

Our Team
The energy trading unit is responsible for optimizing assets across all markets balancing renewables and proprietary trading. We trade short term power algorithmically in an expanding geographical scope and have a highly technical team of veteran software engineers leading AI experts and power trading professionals.

We are looking to strengthen our team with two additional Quant Trader (m/f/d) roles which shall jointly cover the responsibilities mentioned below so it is fine if you feel you only qualify for a part of that.

Tasks

• Take P&L responsibility
• Work together with our AIexperts on improving and expanding our deep learning models and bringing them to market.
• Develop your own price forecasts for different markets
• Further developing our battery optimisation framework
• Develop and implement algorithmic trading strategies from midterm quant strategies to highfrequency trading
• Work closely with our software and data engineers in product owner roles on a project basis
• Participate in trade ops day shift

Requirements

What we expect from you

• Youre excited about driving progress in a fastmoving startup company
• Strong and respectful communicator with ability to work in a team
• High intellectual curiosity and grit combined with a commercial mindset
• You can be inquisitive and rigorous but also pragmatic
• High motivation ability to work in a fastpaced and complex environment well and selforganized
• High level of integrity ethical standard and good judgment
• Fluent in English German is a plus

Qualifications

• University degree in computer or natural sciences mathematics or economics
• Python relevant data science libraries Git and Docker. Experience in R or typescript is a plus.
• 3 years experience in short term power markets preferably Germany other markets are a strong plus.
• Extensive experience in deep learning methods ML or statistical modeling
• Experience in asset optimization including ancillary services
• Experience in market microstructures and highfrequency trading is a plus.
