Summary
The Registered Charity BullyingCanada Inc. (BCI) is seeking a Director of Philanthropy to join our national team and drive fundraising revenue nationally through midlevel and major gifts fundraising.

Founded in 2006 BullyingCanada is a free bilingual donorfunded 24/7/365 national support service that stands by bullied children and youth until we find a way to bring an end to their being bullied a process that typically takes between 2 weeks to a year. We are looking for a missiondriven resultsoriented and experienced Director of Philanthropy who is passionate about finding new individual corporate and foundation donors to support BCI and taking individual corporate giving & foundation giving to the next level.
Responsibilities
Work in collaboration with our Administration Manager and Executive Director to develop and execute shortterm and longterm development goals ensuring increased revenue yearoveryear.
Focus 100% on identifying and securing new donors for BullyingCanada including foundations individuals and grants. This role requires proactive outreach networking and research to discover new funding sources rather than relying on existing donors. If you excel at making new connections and sourcing fresh opportunities this position is for you.
Strengthen and expands revenue development opportunities with existing donors through cultivation and implementation of strategies.
Recruit new corporate and foundation donors and develops customized stewardship strategies.
Ensure all fundraising initiatives and donor cultivation is in keeping with relevant Foundation policies and practices.
Assist in recruiting engaging and retaining qualified employees to meet organization priorities
Provides weekly update (or as needed) reports on fund development status updates and goals to Administration Manager and/or Executive Director.
Develop prospect solicitation strategies and proposals.
Develop monitor and manage grant and foundation applications with the Administration Manager & the Executive Director.
Develop build and support relationships with current and potential funders including applications for funding stewardship agreements and reporting.
Write reports proposals and correspondence on issues related to grants and foundations.
Research and seek out new opportunities to apply for grants and foundations that will generate revenue for BullyingCanada.
Experience in leveraging AI tools to generate comprehensive reports and documents related to fundraising and fund development activities.

Skill Set
Demonstrate strong selfdiscipline and selfmotivation in a remote work environment managing tasks independently without constant supervision. Flexibility to step away from your desk for short periods ensuring timely return to maintain productivity and meet deadlines.
Postsecondary education in business or fundraising or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
Proven background in leading fundraising campaigns with revenue targets of $100k.
57 years of experience in a fundraising/management role in the notforprofit or charitable sectors
Proven ability to take initiative and carry projects to completion with minimal supervision.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects within tightly prescribed timelines
Superior communication abilities with a persuasive writing style and strong verbal skills in English with equally strong presentation and editing skills
The ability to convey compelling stories and messages that are tailored to unique stakeholder groups
Ability to manage multiple projects with various timelines and handle competing and changing priorities
Proactive problem solver solution oriented displays sound decisionmaking and judgment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Demonstrate initiative resourcefulness and creativity
Excellent computer skills (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook etc.)
Experience with relational databases
Highly organized and detailoriented
High energy enthusiastic and passionate about fundraising
Assets :
Fluency in French; CFRE designation (or working towards)
Work Environment:
This is a commissionbased position (upon successful grant applications) with the potential of becoming a salarybased position after a 6month probation period. FullTime (40 hours per week)
1 Year Contract with possible extension (NOTE: There is a 6month probation period)
