Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. As an HR Generalist you will play a key role in managing the daytoday human resources functions supporting our employees and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. This role is crucial in fostering a positive work environment and driving HR initiatives that align with the companys goals and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employees addressing inquiries concerns and grievances. Foster a positive work environment by promoting effective communication and employee engagement.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full recruitment cycle including job postings screening interviewing and hiring. Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Performance Management: Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems including conducting performance reviews and supporting managers in employee development plans.
  • Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance retirement plans and leave policies. Provide employees with information and support regarding their benefits.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal state and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain and update HR policies and procedures as needed.
  • Payroll Administration: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Address any payrollrelated issues or discrepancies.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate employee training programs to enhance skills and performance. Support career development initiatives and succession planning.
  • Employee Records: Maintain accurate and uptodate employee records including personal information attendance and performance data.
  • HR Reporting: Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to provide insights into workforce trends and support decisionmaking.
  • Health & Safety: Support the development and implementation of health and safety programs ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field. HR certification (e.g. PHR SHRMCP) is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 35 years of experience in human resources with a strong understanding of HR practices and employment law.
    • Experience in the agriculture/manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of HR policies procedures and best practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
    • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
    • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
    • Problemsolving skills and the ability to handle employee relations issues effectively.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration.
    • Familiarity with agricultural/manufacturing labor laws and regulations.
