Corporate Controller

Role Overview:

As the Corporate Controller you will be responsible for managing the companys financial reporting budgeting and internal controls. You will provide strategic financial guidance and support to senior management ensuring that financial practices align with the companys objectives and industry standards. Your expertise will play a crucial role in optimizing financial performance and supporting the companys growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant regulations.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes working closely with department heads to develop and manage financial plans that align with the companys strategic goals.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets prevent fraud and ensure financial integrity.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights on financial performance including cost control profitability and operational efficiency.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations including tax laws financial reporting requirements and industry standards.
• Audit Management: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits addressing audit findings and implementing necessary improvements.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the finance team providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies that support business objectives and growth initiatives.
• Risk Management: Assess and manage financial risks including market fluctuations credit risks and investment decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification required.
• 7 years of experience in accounting and finance with a focus on financial reporting budgeting and internal controls.
• Experience in the food manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP financial regulations and best practices.
• Proven experience with financial analysis budgeting and forecasting.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop finance professionals.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle QuickBooks Famous etc.).
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present financial information to senior management and stakeholders.
