Job Description

Job Title: RN Accreditation & Regulatory Specialist

Location: Columbus GA 31904

Salary: $65000 $95000 (depending on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced RN to join our team as an Accreditation & Regulatory Specialist in Columbus GA. This role is essential for ensuring that our healthcare facility remains in compliance with all federal state and accreditation standards. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the quality of patient care by monitoring regulatory requirements participating in audits and implementing corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess compliance with federal state and regulatory agency requirements including but not limited to The Joint Commission (TJC) Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other accreditation bodies.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to ensure policies and practices align with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and surveys to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement action plans to address any deficiencies identified during audits or inspections.
  • Provide education and training to staff on accreditation standards regulatory updates and best practices in patient safety and quality care.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required for accreditation and regulatory submissions.
  • Stay current with changes in regulations and accreditation standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Serve as a resource to clinical and nonclinical staff regarding regulatory requirements and accreditation processes.

MustHaves:

  1. Education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  2. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in healthcare with at least 1 year of direct experience in accreditation compliance or quality improvement.
  3. Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia.
  4. Knowledge: Working knowledge of federal state and regulatory agency standards including The Joint Commission (TJC) and CMS regulations.

NicetoHaves:

  1. Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  2. Previous experience with quality improvement initiatives and familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  3. Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified Joint Commission Professional (CJCP).

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence change.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadlinedriven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record systems.
