The role: Product Developer
You will be primarily responsible for taking product ideas to finished products ready to launch on Amazon. You will be working closely with the Product Development Team Brand Managers and our Sourcing Team.
This is an exciting fulltime job opportunity for someone who wants to learn the ins and outs of launching products on Amazon. Our company is based in Singapore and most of our team members are in Asia but this is a fully remote position for any timezone.
Responsibilities
- You will be involved in the entire product development process working across multiple functions to transform the initial concept into a viable commercial product.
- Collaborate with Brand Managers to evaluate the product development needs for the brands and discuss potential product ideas to build a pipeline of new products.
- Conduct market research to identify and evaluate new product ideas to launch on Amazon.
- Develop product objectives and specifications with consideration for efficacy user experience feasibility and cost.
- Work with our Sourcing Team to research suppliers communicate requirements order and evaluate samples and select the ideal supplier for each project.
- Coordinate with other team members such as graphic designers and engineers to communicate requirements to suppliers.
- Work with our Legal and Quality & Compliance Teams to ensure new products meet compliance requirements and quality standards
- Manage the work plan for projects coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to ensure projects are on track.
- Review performance of product launches follow up on improvements and share learnings for future product development.
Requirements
Job requirements
- 46 years experience in a product development or brand manager role within the Amazon and ecommerce industry.
- Highly organized and attention to details as you will be managing multiple projects at once and small details matter.
- Selfdirected / motivated to be able to make decisions and push projects forward each day without always having clear directives.
- Good understanding of the Western consumer as we sell mainly on Amazon US & Europe and you will need to make product decisions accordingly.
- Great communication skills and ability to work with various project stakeholders.
Job requirements: 2-5 years of eCommerce experience, with preferably at least 2 years of hands-on experience with the Amazon marketplace platform (Seller Central). Intermediate-level knowledge of Excel is preferred. Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural team environment, demonstrating excellent collaboration skills across different time zones. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of organisation and strong attention to detail. Solutions-driven mindset, capable of researching and supporting key decisions for the brands you manage Understanding of a customer-centric approach and familiarity with Western buying habits is a plus.
