Sr Accountant

Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the general accounting functions including preparing and analyzing financial reports performing account reconciliations and ensuring compliance with GAAP. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles excellent analytical skills and the ability to mentor and lead junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including journal entries reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and review financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements in all financial reporting.
• Coordinate and manage monthend and yearend closing processes.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decisionmaking processes.
• Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable functions ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Review and reconcile complex accounts including intercompany transactions accruals and prepayments.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets forecasts and financial projections.
• Support internal and external audits including preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff providing training and support as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting operations.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry standards ensuring compliance across the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong understanding of GAAP.
• Previous experience in agriculture manufacture or construction industry is preferred but is not required.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
• Experience in mentoring and leading junior accounting staff.
• High level of integrity professionalism and ethical standards.
