The project:

This is an opportunity to work on a large new build airport that will set a global benchmark for aviation experience and aims to attract 120 million passengers by 2030 in Saudi Arabia.

• You will lead the design management subfunction accountable for performance delivering an annual business plan outcomes to time and budget.
• You will be responsible for leading the delivery of design management to deliver key strategic outcomes & subfunction KPIs directly influencing strategic development.
• You will be responsible for key client relationship management including generating live prospects and leads.
• Design management strategy across the project or programme and PD approval thereof.
• Agreement of KPIs with PD and ensuring performance of the group in connection with.
• Ensuring strategic delivery of the core function aligns to Mace Way and core values.
• Project or programme wide Design management oversight and interaction/coordination with construction commercial programme procurement and control functions.
• Support development of technologies/systems to enhance design performance.
• Manage resource and deployment of DM staff.
• Ensure ongoing knowledge and upskilling of the team.
• Directs and guides junior members of staff to develop their careers within Mace.
• Ensure succession planning for allocated ADM/DM/SDM is in place.
• Ensuring Design Management is consistent across projects or phases.
• Ensuring design management function is aligned with other PMC functional targets.
• Advising on consultant selection and appointment.
• Supporting SDMs in evaluation of consultant variations and claims.
• Oversight and participation in key design and technical review workshops.
• Utilizing company resources efficiently to accomplish assigned work.
• Identify and manage design associated risks mitigation strategies and/or escalation.
• Identifying need for additional resource and recommendation
• Identifying opportunities for further staff deployment or additional Mace specialist resource that can add value and increase Mace in project.

Youll need to have:

• Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high valued projects/ programmes for a project management consultancy business which are required for immigration and client approval.
• Relevant bachelors degree (or equivalent).
