Job Description

This is a remote position.

As a Government Contract Specialist youll be the driving force behind securing lucrative contracts for Weibermacht Consulting. Youll leverage your expertise to identify relevant opportunities analyze RFPs prepare compelling proposals and navigate the entire bidding process to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct indepth research on federal state and local platforms (SAM.gov city/state websites) to find perfect contract matches for our companys capabilities.
  • Analyze RFPs RFQs and other solicitations to ensure alignment with our strategic goals and identify potential contract wins.
  • Prepare and submit all required bid documents including persuasive proposals competitive pricing sheets compliance certifications and more.
  • Ensure all submissions adhere to government regulations like FAR and DFARS keeping us on the right side of the law.
  • Orchestrate the entire bidding process managing timelines meeting deadlines and following up with key contacts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (finance legal operations) to gather critical information and develop compelling bids.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with government agencies procurement officers and other stakeholders to increase our contractwinning potential.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends new procurement methods and evolving government contracting policies to keep us ahead of the curve.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on bid progress contract awards and emerging opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1 years of experience in government contracting procurement or a similar field.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of government procurement processes including FAR DFARS and other relevant regulations.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent research and analytical skills.
    • Meticulous attention to detail.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite and contract management software.
    • Stellar written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines with ease.
  • Nice to Have but not required:
    • Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or other relevant certifications.
    • Experience with government procurement platforms like SAM.gov eVA etc.


Location: Remote

Time commitment: 1020 hours per week depending on availability.

Support provided: Youll have a dedicated supervisor and receive detailed instructions throughout the process..

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Administration, Emergency Management, Community Development, or a related discipline). Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in federal grant writing, application preparation, administration, and activity delivery for disaster recovery and mitigation projects. Proven track record of securing and managing federally-funded projects, or similar contexts. Strong understanding of federal grant regulations, policies, and application procedures, with expertise in disaster recovery and mitigation funding. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, capable of crafting compelling grant applications and reports. Proficiency in budget development, financial reporting, and project coordination for grant-funded initiatives. Effective research skills and the ability to gather and synthesize information from diverse sources. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and project management capabilities. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative mindset, and the ability to work effectively with local government clients and cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and manage multiple projects concurrently. Application Process: Qualified candidates with a strong background in federal grant application preparation, administration, and activity delivery for disaster recovery and mitigation projects are invited to submit a resume, cover letter, and references showcasing relevant past performance. Provide a comprehensive overview of your history, highlighting relevant background and knowledge of working with federal agencies and programs. Demonstrate a strong track record of successfully applying for and managing federally funded local projects, with a particular focus on recent Disaster Recovery, FEMA Hazard Mitigation, or similar experiences. Present a list of at least three references from past local government clients, showcasing the relevance and effectiveness of previous performance.
