Teamworx is currently recruiting for a Retail Checkout Supervisor or Team Leader to join the team of a highly successful supermarket group based in Dublin West. This is a vibrant and busy store that operates with extremely high standards offering free parking and a huge fresh food department with an instore bakery and butchers.

In this job as a Retail Checkout Supervisor you will be part of a large team and will work in hand with the senior management team learning the procedures and standards in customer service and how to achieve commercial goals whilst demonstrating strong leadership among colleagues within your department. This job will see you responsible for delegating work among a large team of up to 20 people training performance management problemsolving rostering and motivating the team.

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with experience in a retail grocery or supermarket setting looking to get exposure in a topperforming supermarket group with the ability to progress to Store Manager or corporatelevel positions.

The ideal candidate for this Retail Supermarket Checkout Supervisor Job:

• Previous experience as a checkout manager supervisor or sales assistant with experience making rosters and processing returns within a busy retail grocery environment this is essential.
  

• Must be experienced in using a till/cash register system.
  

• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel for reporting
  

• Must have strong people management skills.
  

• Strong customer service skills are essential
  

• Must have staff training & development experience.
  

• Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  

Responsibilities for this Retail Supermarket Checkout Supervisor Job:

• Overall management of a busy checkout department.
  

• Supervision of a team of up to ten people when on duty.
  

• Rostering for a team of up to 10 staff plus.
  

• Queue management.
  

• Ensuring all staff have the tools required to complete their role.
  

• Covering the customer service desk by assisting customers with questions/queries.
  

• Overseeing the store end of the home delivery service.
  

• Staff training and development. Assisting the store manager in other areas of the store if/when required.
