Job Description

  • Typical Accountabilities
  • Responsible for implementing aligned vendor management and alliance strategy. Identify potential space for improvement and implementation excellence, accelerate strategy implementation and maximize value creation to clinical trial delivery. Manage routine communication, issue escalation and reporting.
  • Manage routine interaction with responsible vendors under established alliance framework. Facilitate communication between DevOps and vendors, support issue solutions at study level, and would be assigned as lead for major issue discussion and resolution. Guide vendors to follow AZ processes, when needed.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between DevOps and AZ internal co-working functions relevant to vendor and alliance management.
  • Responsible for assigned tasks related to service quality and compliance oversight. Timely escalate potential issue, drive issue communication and discussion, take required actions so to ensure the good quality and compliance record of AZ clinical trials.

    Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor degree or above in healthcare-related field, or equivalent.
  • At least 8 year working experience in clinical development and/or clinical operations in multinational pharmaceutical companies or CROs.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in vendor management or equivalent.
  • Fluent knowledge of spoken and written English.
  • Able to interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good interpersonal skills, communication and facilitation skills and strong influence skills.
  • Good knowledge of international guidelines GXP, relevant China regulations and good knowledge in relevant AZ Therapeutic Areas.
  • Ability to manage and/or resolve issues, risks, and potential conflicts both internally and externally in a timely manner.
  • Ability to look for and champion more efficient and effective methods/processes of delivering quality clinical trials with reduces budget and timeline.
  • Good leadership to drive results and ability on building trustful relationship among peers and with cross functions.
  • Integrity and high ethical standards.

  • Broad and in-depth knowledge of clinical and drug development process
  • Manages change with a positive approach to the challenges of change for self, team and the business. Sees change as an opportunity to improve performance and add value to the business.
