Summary of Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Modelling Engineer to work within the Raytheon Assured Position Navigation and Timing (APNT) Engineering team, part of the wider Systems & Products business unit, to produce Digital GPS Anti-Jam Systems and Alternative Navigation Solutions for the military market.
The role will provide support across Raytheon's range of APNT products, providing Systems Engineering expertise across the product lifecycle, from requirements capture, analysis, design through to testing, qualification and certification activities.
Main Duties:
The role will provide support to the System Design Authority and Systems Engineering Team Leaders with the development and management of project requirements, generation of technical documentation. Systems Analysis and Design work and participation in technical design reviews. Further, supporting the Systems Team in the generation of bid proposal material and submission of bids in response to customer requests.
Primary responsibilities include modelling in Simulink and MATLAB using model-based design techniques, producing parts of a complex model, implement algorithms within the model, producing and verifying auto-code, carrying out performance assessment, documenting the model.
The role will be based at Raytheon's Harlow facility and the successful candidate will have access to professional development opportunities and be part of the growing Raytheon Technologies team, where the candidate will be required to undertake development studies and investigation activities involving product performance and interfacing with various internal stakeholders.
The role will involve working in a highly technical environment, supporting the team as well as working autonomously, laboratory work will be involved for product testing. Taking on complex challenges and producing a solution that follows company process in a timely manner is an essential part of the role. A successful candidate will be comfortable integrating into a large team to accomplish their goals.
