Electrical Engineer Direct Hire MI
Troy Michigan
Bachelors degree Electrical Engineering 25yrs previous experience with an engineering firm (architectural or electrical contracting company) ability to travel 1020% to job sites

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering expertise and support to estimating project management and customers per project.
- Provide support and expertise to other members of the engineering team such as the VDC Engineers.
- Position reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering.
- Design and coordinate all power and lighting distribution systems meeting project specifications under the guidance of a Professional Engineer (PE) on staff
- Manage and schedule 3D modelers/2D Drafters (VDC/BIM modelers)
- Review edit and write project specifications under the guidance of a PE on staff
- Generate and/or review production submittals against project specifications under the guidance of a PE on staff
- Assist in the estimating process for Electrical contractors by attending jobsite walk throughs defining scope and generating bill of materials
- Complete other tasks and duties as assigned by management
Job Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering required
- 25yrs previous experience with an engineering firm (architectural or electrical contracting company)
- 3yrs experience with Revit software
- Proven experience with reviewing editing and writing project specifications required
- Experience with generating and/or reviewing production submittals against project specifications required
- Experience with walk throughs defining scope and generating bill of materials required
- Must be selfdirected
- Must also be able to manage others and possess strong communication skills
- Ability to work cohesively with other departments within the company
- Strong organizational skills: ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently take initiative set priorities and follow projects to completion
- Strong problemsolving skills required
- Ability to travel 1020% of the time to jobsites in multiple states
