Job Description
Action Staffing Solutions is seeking Shippers/Packers for one of our esteemed Government clients. The position involves providing onsite services from Monday to Friday except for recognized US holidays or facility closures due to emergencies administrative closings or Governmentdirected facility/installation closings.
There are two shifts available:
1st shift: 6:30AM through 3:00PM
2nd shift: 3:30PM through 12:00 AM
The duties for this position include:
Pay: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience.

The duties for this position include:
- Verifying the content of various stock items.
- Selecting the appropriate type and size of containers inserting enclosures using excelsior or other material to prevent breakage and closing and sealing containers.
- Applying labels or entering identifying data on containers.
- Operating various packaging equipment.
- Reading computer screens and using scanning equipment.
- Responding to alarms and alerts.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
- Acting as a "runner" to deliver messages documents or items to different locations when needed.
- High School diploma or GED.
- 1 year of shipping and packaging experience.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills with coworkers and staff.
- Basic typing skills PC computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office.
- Fluency in English (reading understanding speaking and writing).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required.
- Ability to push or pull up to 150 pounds on a rolling cart or using a pallet jack.
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time (810 hours) and lift repetitively.
- Understanding of necessary precautions when handling hazardous medications materials and hazardous waste.
- Ability to pass a preemployment background check and drug screening.
Pay: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience.
