Compliance Officer

Our client is a fastgrowing liquidity provider currently seeking a Compliance Officer to join their team in Limassol.

In this role you will be responsible for developing maintaining and revising policies and procedures. You will ensure ongoing compliance by monitoring activities collaborating with various departments and providing training programs. Additionally you will handle reporting of violations and assist in compliance reviews with internal and external auditors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop initiate maintain and revise policies and procedures to prevent illegal unethical or improper conduct.
• Collaborate with other departments to direct compliance issues to the appropriate channels for investigation and resolution.
• Monitor and coordinate compliance activities across departments to stay updated on all compliance matters.
• Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provide general guidance on how to avoid or address similar situations in the future.
• Ensure proper reporting of violations or potential violations.
• Develop and maintain an effective compliance training program including appropriate introductory training for new employees and ongoing training for all employees and managers.
• Monitor employee activities to ensure they act appropriately and in compliance and take steps to improve their performance effectiveness.
• Prepare present and submit regular reports in any format required.
• Provide assistance to internal and external auditors during compliance reviews.

Requirements:

• University degree in Law Economics Finance or a related field.
• Knowledge of the South Africa legislation will be considered as an advantage (FSCA).
• At least 23 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Attention to detail and strong problemsolving and communication skills.
• knowledge and experience on a CySEC entity CySEC certificate would be an advantage but not a necessity
• Must be based in Cyprus

• Salary range depending on experience and qualifications: 3000 to 3500 Euro Gross / Month
