Job Description

Works with all phases of plant operations problemsolving electrical integration drafting using AutoCAD and providing engineering support and project management to manufacturing departments. The position reports directly to the Technical Support Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Offer shop floor and project support to manufacturing departments ensuring adherence to quality safety and efficiency objectives.
  • Provide assistance across various manufacturing areas as required.
  • Facilitate direct communication with QA Purchasing and Accounting departments.
  • Set tolerances and machine specifications in production areas.
  • Apply knowledge of emerging technology trends to enhance existing manufacturing equipment.
  • Implement Lean Principles to optimize equipment and production systems (VMM).

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Working with budgeting of capital and expense dollars for shop floor support and assisting with meeting department goals and initiatives.
  • Assist in coordinating maintenance functions on project work.
  • Maintain product routings in SAP. This would include allocations of part numbers material usage waste and labor.

Your Experience and Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering.
  • Preferred: Three years of technical experience in mechanical/electrical work on a manufacturing shop floor.
  • Required: Experience with AutoCAD and/or Solid Works.
  • Preferred: Experience with SAP integrated software.
  • Proficient computer skills especially in Excel Microsoft Windows PowerPoint and Lotus Notes.
  • Required: Ability to read and interpret product drawings and specifications.
  • Required: Knowledge of the latest technology trends for equipment improvement.
  • Current knowledge of Allen Bradley software (ControlLogix SLC 500); some programming/design and troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Experience in industrial electronics and mechanics.
  • Hydraulic experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and create detailed action plans.
  • Beneficial: Experience with expense/capital budgets.
  • Strong organizational skills in planning and executing projects.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • High degree of loyalty and personal integrity.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Compliance with all company rules safety regulations and policies.
