Salary: £45 - 50K OTE £90K - uncapped commission

Location: London, Hybrid - SW1Y

The role:

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in driving our growth by focusing on new business acquisitions. Your primary responsibility will be to generate leads, grow a healthy new business pipeline, and convert prospects into loyal clients by understanding their unique business needs and collaborating with our team to offer tailored IT solutions. You will thrive in this role if you are a natural hunter with a passion for technology and a relentless drive to exceed targets.

Key Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager role

  • Lead generation through various channels, including networking, cold calling, industry events, and online research.
  • Collaborate with the team to create and execute targeted campaigns that attract and generate new leads. Utilise digital marketing, social media, and other strategies to build a robust pipeline of potential clients.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to convert leads into clients. Focus on understanding prospects' pain points and work with the team to present tailored IT solutions that address their specific needs.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with potential clients. Build trust by consistently demonstrating your expertise and commitment to their success.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Deliver compelling presentations to showcase our IT solutions and their value proposition to prospective clients.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by consistently bringing in new business.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, including lead generation and sales performance, using CRM software (HubSpot).
  • Attend industry-specific networking events to identify and develop new client relationships.
  • Fulfil additional tasks or responsibilities as requested to support the team's objectives.

Key Requirements for the Business Development Manager role.

  • New Business Sales background within the MSP (Managed Service Provider), digital product sales or SAAS industry.
  • Extensive experience in proactive business development, with a focus on identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Proven ability to create and execute lead-generation strategies to build a robust pipeline of prospects.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with prospects, understanding their unique needs, and proposing tailored solutions that drive value.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and close deals effectively, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
