Accounts Payable Lead

Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Lead will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions and will provide direction to a team of accounts payable specialists.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare review and process checks in SAP
• Prepare and review all ACH and wire requests for noncommercial payments
• Assist with processing noncommercial invoices via VIM
• Assist with processing commercial check payments
• Prepare the daily check log to be reviewed by AP Supervisor
• Balance Daily Cash Activity
• In a backup capacity to the Accounts Payable Supervisor create new vendors and request mapping updates in EBX
• Assist other Accounts Payable Associates on the team and act as a backup as the workload dictates
• Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
• Interact professionally with coworkers Company business associates and the public
• Work together in a cooperative spirit to serve the best interests of the Company
• Operate in a fully responsible manner and comply with the law and Company policy

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years of accounts payable experience.
• SAP experience or equivalent to accounting software
  
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
  
• Excellent communication organizational and problemsolving skills.
  
• Proficiency with MS Office and accounting software.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Detailoriented and highly organized.
