Senior System Engineer

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Linux System Engineer to join our team of cloud hosting experts. As a Senior Linux System Engineer you will be responsible for designing building and maintaining our cloud infrastructure ensuring high availability scalability and performance. You will work closely with our development team to develop and deploy cloudbased solutions and collaborate with our DevOps team to implement automation and monitoring tools. Responsibilities:

Design build and maintain our cloud infrastructure using Linuxbased technologies such as OpenStack AWS or Azure

Develop and deploy cloudbased solutions using Linux containers Kubernetes and Docker

Collaborate with our development team to develop and deploy cloudbased applications

Work with our DevOps team to implement automation and monitoring tools such as Ansible Puppet and Nagios

Ensure high availability scalability and performance of our cloud infrastructure

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications

Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles

Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices and technical solutions

Stay uptodate with the latest industry trends and technologies in cloud computing and Linux

Requirements

5 years of experience in Linux system administration with a focus on cloud computing

Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL CentOS Ubuntu) and Linuxbased technologies (OpenStack Docker Kubernetes)

Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS Azure OpenStack) and cloud management tools (Ansible Puppet)

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP DNS DHCP)

Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field

CI/CD certifications (e.g. Jenkins GitLab) are a plus

Nice to Have:

Experience with container orchestration tools (Kubernetes Docker Swarm)

Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins GitLab)

Experience with database management systems (MySQL PostgreSQL)

Familiarity with scripting languages (Perl Python Bash)
