QC Pipe Yard Inspector

Were looking for a highly motivated and selfdirected QC Inspector. Responsible for ensuring that the product is within quality standards and specifications. This includes but is not limited to maintaining quality and safety standards; visual inspections measurements and functional testing of the product; recording data/test results to validate conformance; and assisting with quality related reports reviews and audits as needed.

QC Inspector Responsibilities:

• Performs inspections of Induction Bends Ductile Iron (DI) Carbon Alloy Stainless Steel and Saw pipes and Tubes finished company products according to well defined criteria and specifications.
• Collect all the required instruments for inspection from the QC Lab.
• Uses measuring equipment such as calipers micrometers gages optical inspection and computerized inspection devices as needed.
• Rejects and returns nonconforming materials and/or products that do not meet applicable specifications and requirements.
• Documents inspection results by completing applicable inspection (red tagging) reports and logs.
• Maintains manufacturing and inspection related documentation.
• Supports the quality department with reviews reports and audits as needed.
• Participates in quality control/assurance related activities. Preforming inprocess inspections. (pipe fittings flanges valves tubing structural steel)
• Participates in performance improvement activities utilizes resources efficiently and effectively takes responsibility for own learning needs.
• Collect all the required instruments for inspection from the QC Lab.
• Fills out inspection results and test results into ERP Software.

Qualifications:

• 6months of relevant work experience.
• Basic Math Skills
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Maintain good housekeeping / follows safety measures.
• Bilingual (Spanish & English)
• Valid DL or ID
• Yard/Shop Environment; must be able to work in allweather elements.
• Must be able to lift up to 55lbs.
