Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our Finance team. The FP&A Analyst will play a critical role in financial planning budgeting forecasting variance analysis and financial reporting. This position requires strong analytical skills a thorough understanding of financial statements and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning and Budgeting:
o Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial plans.
o Coordinate with various departments to gather budget inputs and assumptions.
o Prepare and consolidate budget data ensuring accuracy and completeness.
2. Forecasting:
o Develop and maintain financial models to support shortterm and longterm forecasting.
o Monitor key financial and operational metrics to identify trends and variances.
o Update forecasts regularly based on actual performance and changing business conditions.
3. Variance Analysis:
o Perform detailed variance analysis to compare actual results against budget and forecasts.
o Identify key drivers of variances and provide insightful explanations.
o Present variance analysis reports to management with actionable recommendations.
4. Financial Reporting:
o Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
o Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
o Develop dashboards and visualizations to present financial data effectively.
5. Performance Management:
o Analyze financial and operational performance to identify areas for improvement.
o Support management in decisionmaking by providing financial insights and recommendations.
o Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
6. Ad Hoc Analysis:
o Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and modeling to support strategic initiatives and special projects.
o Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to provide financial expertise and support.
7. Process Improvement:
o Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes.
o Implement best practices and improve financial planning and analysis methodologies.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field. MBA or CFA is a plus.
Experience: 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis corporate finance or related roles.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
o Strong knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles.
o Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial software and ERP systems is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams and build strong working relationships.
Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
