Job Description

Job Summary: The HR Assistant will provide administrative support to the Human Resources department assisting with various HR functions including recruitment onboarding employee records management and compliance. This role requires excellent organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. The ideal candidate will be proactive efficient and capable of juggling multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment and Onboarding:

    • Assist with job postings resume screening and coordinating interviews.
    • Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process.
    • Prepare and send offer letters and new hire paperwork.
    • Assist with the onboarding process including coordinating orientation sessions and collecting necessary documentation.
  2. Employee Records Management:

    • Maintain accurate and uptodate employee records including personal information job changes and performance evaluations.
    • Assist with data entry into HR systems and ensure that employee files are properly organized and compliant with company policies.
    • Handle requests for employment verification and other documentation.
  3. Benefits Administration:

    • Assist with benefits enrollment changes and inquiries.
    • Support the administration of employee benefits programs including health insurance retirement plans and wellness initiatives.
    • Provide employees with information about benefits and help resolve any issues or questions.
  4. Payroll Support:

    • Assist with payroll processing by collecting and verifying timekeeping information.
    • Help with the preparation and distribution of paychecks.
    • Address payrollrelated inquiries from employees and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  5. Employee Relations:

    • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns providing support or directing them to the appropriate HR staff member.
    • Assist with the coordination of employee engagement activities events and programs.
    • Help maintain a positive work environment by supporting HR initiatives aimed at employee satisfaction and retention.
  6. Compliance and Reporting:

    • Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required for audits or other compliance activities.
    • Help maintain accurate records for EEO OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
  7. Administrative Support:

    • Provide general administrative support to the HR department including answering phones managing correspondence and scheduling meetings.
    • Assist with the preparation of HR documents such as employee handbooks job descriptions and training materials.
    • Handle special projects and tasks as assigned by the HR Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 13 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role.
