Platform Engineer

Role:

• Leading the development and advocacy of our internal developer portal Backstage
• Driving Backstages technical direction for secure scalable and maintainable operations
• Crafting and implementing the product roadmap to address our engineers critical needs and pain points
• Championing usercentric development practices
• Mentoring team members and contributors elevating their technical and architectural skills
• Providing senior engineering perspectives in organizational discussions and projects

Essential requirements:

• Demonstrate extensive handson experience with Backstage development in large international organizations
• Set and execute strategic roadmaps driving decisions from both technical and product standpoints
• Exhibit strong leadership empowering peers and fostering a culture of innovation
• Think strategically about technology and its impact on organizational efficiency
• Collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders at all levels
• Our ideal candidate embodies the strategist and teacher archetypes more than a pure technologist. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing and enforcing highlevel engineering standards including advanced coding practices testing methodologies and deployment procedures.
