Assesses radiation risks in the workplace and advises on the design of the facilities, equipment and waste disposal to ensure safety

Assesses the impact of releasing radioactive material on the environment

.

Reviews and advises on the safe transport of radioactive materials

.

Reviews, comments on and prepares emergency plans and contingency procedures for responding to radiation incidents

.

Liaises with other engineering disciplines on matters of radiation safety and legislation

.

Develops training materials and conducts training on radiation protection features
