Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

The role of Specialist Support Worker is critical to providing an enhanced level of service for our vulnerable clients. Join us and you could soon be responsible for taking a lead role in a specialist area or working within a specialist programme and/or team to plan and deliver a highquality support service. Assessing and addressing the needs of trafficked victims using an evidencebased risk identification checklist managing a busy caseload developing individual support plans with clients and advocating for highrisk service users with agencies are just some aspects of this vital support role.


To Succeed You Will Need:

A track record in supported accommodation and housing management providing casework support to vulnerable clients including crisis management and risk assessment.

Proven experience or knowledge of providing advice and support to individuals who have been trafficked a basic understanding of relevant legislation and awareness of safe practices when lone working.

An awareness of the impact of crime on victims witnesses and the wider community and an understanding of the criminal justice system safeguarding children and legal responsibilities.

Knowledge and experience of providing a coordinated service with statutory and voluntary services available for the client group and the ability to support service users effectively in crisis.

Good communication teamwork and people management skills.

Experience recording and managing financial transactions.

Work Environment:

Based in London.

Fulltime position with standard working hours though flexibility may be needed to meet client needs.

Reporting Lines:

Reports to Supervisor/Managers Title.

Works closely with Relevant Departments or Teams.
