Job Description

Location: Grand Rapids Michigan

Compensation: Competitive

Job Type: FullTime

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to oversee all financial activities including bookkeeping financial reporting and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in using QuickBooks and will be responsible for preparing all financial reports including Profit and Loss (P&L) statements and monthly reporting packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management
  • Oversee and manage the companys financial operations.
  • Develop and implement financial policies procedures and strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
  • Bookkeeping
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records.
  • Manage all aspects of bookkeeping using QuickBooks including accounts payable and receivable payroll and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payments.
  • Financial Reporting
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports including P&L statements and monthly reporting packages.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Develop and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
  • Recommend corrective actions as necessary to achieve financial objectives.
  • Audit and Compliance
  • Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all audit requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for audit purposes.
  • Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor the finance team providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative and highperformance work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 35 years of experience with QuickBooks and a strong background in bookkeeping and financial reporting.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
