Job Description

Role

  • The Procurement Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that their business purchases the material and services that will best help them achieve their goals. Generally that means finding supplier partners that strike a balance between quality and cost. Additionally the Procurement Coordinators responsibilities include reviewing past purchases made by the company. This evaluation determines vendor effectiveness compliance and ultimately the businesss return on investment (ROI).
  • The Procurement Coordinator is also responsible for overseeing the stocks and managing the companys overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize process efficiency and productivity. In addition He plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors. The Procurement Coordinator must be able to analyze data and processes find creative solutions generate reports and present findings to upper management and other departments communicate with external suppliers and buyers comprehend redevelops and develop lasting relationships with others. They must proactive problem solvers with a desire to collaborate with others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and supervising employees and all activities of the purchasing department.
  • Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment services and supplies.
  • Following and enforcing the companys procurement policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing comparing analyzing and approving products and services to be purchased.
  • Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
  • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications delivery times product ranges etc.
  • As a procurement supervisor you will be responsible for item code creation local purchasing maintaining and managing stock level stock planning PO creation negotiation with suppliers targeting to obtain a 5% discount maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts. Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
  • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications delivery times product ranges etc.
  • Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy.
  • Collaborate with Sales Finance Operations and Customer Service teams.
  • Suggest solutions for process improvements.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Train and evaluate others.
  • Monitor supplier performance to assess the ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
  • Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
  • Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as finance sales and technology to identify or qualify new suppliers.
  • Develop or implement procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers.
  • Document physical supply chain processes such as workflows cycle times position responsibilities or system flows.
  • Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns reduce waste or optimize customer service.
  • Participate in the coordination of engineering changes product line extensions or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
  • Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing material requirements planning inventory control warehousing or receiving.
  • Evaluate and select information or other technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting of materials or product distribution storage or inventory.
  • Provide constructive feedback.
  • Work with finance sales and technical team to determine the best vendors and distributors
  • Build and maintain good relationships with vendors
  • Assist logistics process for the development of new products inventory maintenance shipment and delivery and returns on products.
  • Keep detailed records generate reports and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective.
  • Read and comprehend legal documents such as contracts or import/export agreements vendor registration etc.
  • Collaborate with others from diverse backgrounds in order to identify problems and find solutions.
  • Process data identifying problematic areas and suggesting improvements
  • Develop requirements and standards (e.g. procurement shipping etc.)
  • Analyze optimize and oversee inventory procedures
  • Develop material costs forecasts or standard cost lists.
  • Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load unload move or store materials.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers vendors or freight forwarders.

Experience

  • 3 to 5 Years of Experience in relevant position.
  • Working knowledge of Procurement Coordination.

Language

  • Well versed with English Language (Oral & Written) Mandatory.
  • Arabic will be an advantage.

Education

  • Diploma in relevant discipline.
  • Bachelor Degree shall be preferred.

Other Discretions

  • Age should be between 24 to 35
