Automation Project Manager

Horizon Controls Group We are seeking an experienced Automation Project Manager to join our team for a pharmaceutical client in Europe. The primary focus of this role will be managing automation projects involving Rockwell Automation systems and fillfinish operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the pharmaceutical industry extensive knowledge of Rockwell Automation systems and experience with fillfinish processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Execution:
  
• Lead the planning execution and delivery of automation projects ensuring alignment with project goals timelines and budgets.
  
• Develop detailed project plans including scope schedule resource allocation and risk management strategies.
  
• Coordinate with crossfunctional teams including engineering manufacturing quality assurance and external vendors.
  
• Rockwell Automation Systems:
  
• Oversee the implementation and integration of Rockwell Automation systems including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) HMIs (HumanMachine Interfaces) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition).
  
• Ensure that Rockwell systems are configured and implemented in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) regulations.
  
• FillFinish Operations:
  
• Manage projects focused on the automation of fillfinish processes within pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  
• Collaborate with technical experts to ensure successful integration of fillfinish equipment with automation systems.
  
• Stakeholder Management:
  
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders providing regular updates on project status risks and issues.
  
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders ensuring that project requirements and expectations are clearly understood and met.
  
• Risk Management and Problem Solving:
  
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans to address them.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve projectrelated issues ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and objectives.
  
• Budget and Resource Management:
  
• Manage project budgets ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and costeffectively.
  
• Monitor project expenditures and adjust plans as necessary to stay within budget.
  
• Quality and Compliance:
  
• Ensure that all project activities comply with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  
• Oversee the validation and documentation processes for automation systems including the creation of validation protocols and reports.
  

Qualifications:

• Education:
  
• Bachelor s degree in engineering Project Management or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  
• Experience:
  
• Minimum of 7 years of project management experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
  
• Proven experience with Rockwell Automation systems (AllenBradley PLCs HMIs SCADA).
  
• Extensive knowledge and handson experience with fillfinish processes.

• Strong understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.

• Proficient in project management software and tools.

• Certifications:
  
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred.
  
• Relevant certifications in Rockwell Automation and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing are a plus.
