Job Description
A lovely family in central Frankfurt is looking for their new nanny who will be replacing the present one. They have two children who are 8 and 4.5 years old and would like their nanny to speak a native level of German or English.
Nanny tasks will mainly be pick up the children from school and kindergarten accompany older child to sport activities (twice a week) ensure homework is done shopping for children food cooking for the kids. Spending time with the younger child to engage him in games (puzzles drawings table games) and ensure the older child keeps up with homework and reading. Bathe and put to bed. To ensure the kids room is in order clothes are washed and kitchen is cleaned. Occasional babysitting in the evening and be flexible if one of them is ill (hopefully not!). Predominantly sole charge.
One of the kids has allergies to peanuts / hazelnuts and uncooked eggs so nanny needs to be comfortable to provide medication in emergencies and be careful on ingredients given to kids.
They are being careful with other nuts and shellfish for the time being.
Reading labels making sure the child does not eat unchecked food (he s very good at asking) and carrying medication is very important (he has an epi pen)
If the nanny housekeeper is willing to also do the cleaning (twice a week deep clean for the kitchen and bathrooms) and once a week for the rest of the apartment we can consider consolidating the two jobs and give more hours to the nanny. This would mean 67 hours extra per week.
Requirements
Completely fluent German or English
Must have EU passport or already have work Visa with minimum 2years to run.
Must live within a reasonable commute of central Frankfurt
Up to date criminal history check
Good references for recent and relevant nanny work and jobs that have each lasted a good length of time.
Able to run after young children
Be available long term
up to date paediatric first aid
Must be tidy and clean and happy to keep home environment tidy and clean
Please note this is a strictly Non smoking position.
